Sacred Ibis conquers previously-impossible South Africa-Canada route!

Turns out only postcards sent from Canada to South Africa are doomed. This splendid bird, and the Johannesburg park over which he reigns, made it the other way with no problems at all. Here’s a link to a map showing some of the other delightful sketches Cathy has done in this same park.

The other side is beautifully painted and in perfect condition as well, so have a look at the totally-readable and wonderfully welcome message from Cathy. Isn't it terrific!

I loved the title - after all the mishaps the other way I guess you wondered whether you'd ever get one from Cathy.

I wasn't quite sure how the map worked until I twiddled my zoom controls - and that's a fabulous idea!

Great sketch as always from Cathy

Beautiful sketches, Cathy. I love all the incidental beauty you manage to fit on your cards.
So glad this one didn't come to grief.

Well I'm not sure that the Ibis is aware of his conquering abilities, but I'm so relieved he did! I must update that map - lots more sketches to put on there!

I laughed at the title Charlene. That little fellow really did migrate a great distance. We have all been so lucky receiving our postcards and here is another example.

Lovely Cathy!

I admit to not knowing anything much about South Africa but Cathy's beautiful cards have given me a wonderful mini-tour.

What a wonderful title and card. I have always love the way you tagged the google map with your sketches. I think it adds so much to seeing where you were while sketching. I need to figure out how to do that!
