Today I received this amazing artwork from Cathy on both sides of the card!
Two "poor beleagured rhinos", safely protected from cruel poachers. They are - like the trees - beautifully drawn by a loose line. I especially like the back of the postcard. The way in which Cathy has composed the watercolors of the five lemurs with the handwriting is very impressive. The design fits well with the lively nature of those primates from Madagascar. I really love them. Thank you so much Cathy for this great piece of art. I'm very proud to have it in my "mailart" collection. (By the way: sometimes I wonder how long our cards are on the way. Cathy's card was stamped on 10th October and it took almost a month till it arrived Heidelberg. ...)

Oh, I'm relieved it reached you Albrecht - I've been wondering where it might have got to, that took a long time! Thank you for your kind remarks.
Dear Cathy. Yesterday I dropped a card for you into the mailbox. Now I'm curious how long it goes vice versa. So have patience... Kind regards Albrecht
Oh now I have Rhino Envy, not just for Cathy's beautiful card but also for her ability to capture them so well. Brilliant.. and the lemurs too.
That means my Cathy postcard still has a chance of arriving. I look every day.
Cathy, your postcard is so fun with the words twirling around like when we paint and get lost in our thoughts.
Ditto Robyn's comment - Rhino envy!
Such an amazing creature and so very very sad they are being slaughtered to the point of extinction. Apparently it's the executive young of Vietnam now leading the demand for Rhino horn. Putting ground up keratin in champagne. Doh! My toenails would be just as useful. How can supposedly intelligent people be so blo*dy stupid!?
Cathy your art work is beautiful. So sad to think that art work plus photographs and a few creatures alive in zoos, may soon be all the world has left of the species. Sadly the same for the lemurs too :o(
I so agree with you Alison. Why why why? But it's a terrific card Cathy. I tried sketching these amazing animals and ended up with rocks on legs. Your observation and drawing is really skilled .
I love your style so much Cathy, Albrecht, how lucky to receive such a wonderful card!
