Charlene in Austria
My postcard from Charlene Brown has arrived and what a surprise, it is from Austria! Charlene is such a peripatetic artist. I'm thinking there could be a book in 'Where's Charlene Now?' Of course she is more than capable of writing, illustrating and publishing such a book herself. I would appreciate a free copy for the brilliant idea.
Charlene said, 'this is Dürnstein, Austria and the 'Burgruine' above the town is said to be the very castle where Richard the Lion Heart was held prisoner'. It goes without saying that Super Sketcherciser, Charlene climbed up there and painted the view from the prison. She confesses that she made the Danube a little bluer and the trees a little purpler than they really are, but I'm not complaining because this is a beautiful watercolour with gemlike colours shining through.
Many thanks, Charlene I'm thrilled with my postcard from Austria.

Charlene, once again...beautiful1 Yes, I agree with Robyn...you can so easily get all this taken into a very exciting and beautiful book! I am definitely in line for a copy...signed of course!

Charlene, I've just seen the view from the prison on your blog - Let me tell you, it was worth the climb! Beautiful composition and brilliant colour.
Wow! What a view. I think I'm always going to associate Charlene with great big hills and mountains
Me too, for the book (signed) and Crystal Clear Mountains and Charlene. When ever I see a snow covered mountain I wonder if Charlene has painted it yet.
This is a wonderful card, I love the "stained glass" look in the Charlene's water colors.
Beautiful, and so recognisable - waiting for the book, the calendar, the travel guide...
Charlene's postcards and sketches are taking a different direction - and I love them.
I'm standing in line for the book too! Fabulous view - you never know where Charlene's going to be next!
lovely cool clear fresh air :>)
As Martin said 'stained glass' - always so lovely!!
