Garden Gates

What a beautiful surprise was waiting for me today! Cathy's gorgeous postcard of the entrance gates into her Botanic Gardens. It is a lovely contrast to a similiar sketch that I did last summer. I love the richest of this painting and that it really draws me in... would love one day to be able to enter these gardens

On the back is a gorgeous painting of Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow flowers which I am told are in bloom in our backyard garden too (obviously I am not the gardener in the household!)

Thank you Cathy

Nice one! Cathy's paintings are really saturating the colour in the contrast between light and dark.

Great composition and that splash of sunlight just inside the gates is so enticing. Lovely small figure studies which Cathy excels in doing.

I always love your cards Cathy!
I too love your firgures you add and I would love some detail info on how you add them...mine always looks like paint errors, so I take them out!

What an appropriate postcard for Liz. Another beauty, Cathy. Everything works a treat. And the flowers on the reverse are gorgeous.

Love the way you have captured this moment in time. So So So! much better than a snap shot.
